About The Position

This role involves heavy-duty cleaning of both public and back-of-house areas. Responsibilities include moving furniture, shampooing carpets, cleaning high areas, window coverings, walls, doors, deep cleaning bathrooms, and stripping/waxing floors. General cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, trash removal, vacuuming, edging, emptying ashtrays, removing gum, and cleaning restrooms are also part of the duties. The position requires disinfecting and sanitizing areas using an electrostatic sprayer and restocking supply closets. Maintaining, operating, and cleaning equipment according to guidelines is essential.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous heavy duty cleaning experience, specifically involving floor care with commercial/industrial cleaning equipment required.
Must have the ability to use power cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, shampooers, etc.
Must pay close attention to detail.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds.
Must have understanding of the proper use of cleaning chemicals and Material Safety Data Sheets.
Understanding of cleaning procedures and rotations of duties required.

Responsibilities

Heavy duty cleaning of public spaces and back of the house areas: including but not limited to moving of furniture, shampooing carpets, clean high areas, cleaning window coverings, scrubbing walls/doors, deep cleaning bathrooms, stripping/waxing floors, etc.
Performs general cleaning functions such as dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, trash removal, vacuuming, edging, emptying ashtrays, removing gum, cleaning restrooms, etc. as needed.
Disinfects/sanitizes areas with use of electrostatic sprayer.
Restock supply closets as needed.
Maintain, operate and clean all equipment following established guidelines and standards.
