About The Position

The Housekeeping Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for members and guest. This position is responsible for deep cleaning and sanitizing locker rooms, showers, steam rooms, restrooms, fitness spaces and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently and contributes to a positive club experience for all. This position is part of our Member Services Department reporting to the Member Services Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or relevant work experience.
  • First Aid/CPR Training. In the event a team member is hired without CPR or First certifications, they will be required to attend MVP Sports Clubs in-house training to obtain this.
  • Minimum 6 months prior customer service experience in high volume service industry.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Comfortable operating cleaning machinery or willing to be trained
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Ability to stand 95% of the shift and lift weighted objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; Lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall cleanliness in all assigned areas, including cleaning and sanitizing showers, steam rooms, locker rooms, and restroom facilities to company standards.
  • Mop and maintain floors throughout the facility. Additionally, operate floor scrubbing and floor-cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Refill restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Maintain building interior and exterior by removing trash, picking up papers, emptying containers, transporting materials to disposal area, recycling materials as necessary.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures consistently.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
  • Always support a welcoming and professional club environment.
  • Greet, assist and guide members when necessary and called upon.
  • Provide superior customer service in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Communicate members’ concerns, comments, and questions to appropriate Manager.
  • Execute all job functions at an exceptional level while adhering to areas of accountability.
  • Perform duties ranging from lifting, stocking, reaching, climbing, and organizing stock.
  • Uphold a constant clean towel supply by washing, drying, and folding towels as needed.
  • Assist with member laundry, by following the member laundry procedures.
  • Keep cleaning products safe and usable by utilizing safe and proper mixing techniques per labeling instructions.
  • Attend and participate in regular Service Game training sessions as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance, by wearing the MVP Sports Clubs uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
