About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate is an essential member of the Gold’s Gym team. They ensure that all areas of the facility—including gym floor, locker rooms, offices, and common spaces—are consistently clean, safe, and welcoming for members. The role includes performing a variety of cleaning duties, maintaining equipment and supplies, and supporting the overall member experience.

Requirements

At least three (3) months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
Three (3) months customer service experience desired
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Must have excellent organization, interpersonal and time management skills
Must have proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
Must be able to collaborate and work as part of a team in a professional manner

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plus

Responsibilities

Clean outside glass and interior mirrors.
Wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as needed.
Empty trash receptacles daily.
Sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and staircases.
Clean carpets and hard-surface floors as needed.
Clean fitness equipment thoroughly.
Clean bathrooms, including tiles, tubs, walls, sinks, and mirrors.
Dust furniture and fixtures daily.
Clean management offices daily.
Mop and sweep lobby floors.
Sweep, mop, remove trash, and dust locker rooms.
Clean and sanitize restrooms & locker rooms (toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors).
Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Clean out lint and maintain general tidiness in locker rooms.
Buff locker/lobby room floors as needed.
Clean, maintain, and organize cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners.
Ensure equipment is kept in good condition and stored properly.
Clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily.
Stock carts with linens and supplies, keeping them organized according to training guidelines.
Pick up debris on carpets and perform vacuuming as needed.
Report maintenance or repair issues accurately and promptly.
Collaborate professionally with gym staff and management.
