About The Position

At Vicar’s Landing, our Housekeeping Team Leaders play a key role in ensuring our communities are consistently maintained to the highest standards — while also supporting and guiding a team of dedicated housekeepers. In this role, you won’t just be working alongside your team — you’ll be helping lead them. You’ll set the tone for quality, teamwork, and service excellence while staying actively involved in daily housekeeping tasks. Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently to follow instructions and complete documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to lead by example while working alongside your team
  • Strong time management and ability to organize daily tasks
  • Ability to safely perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Professional communication and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in real time
  • Respectful and compassionate approach when working in a resident-centered environment

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ year of housekeeping experience in hospitality, healthcare, or senior living
  • Prior experience in a lead, shift lead, or supervisory role
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures
  • Experience working in structured environments with quality standards and routines
  • Comfort working in environments that may include exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying conditions
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 10 feet) in occasional maintenance or cleaning situations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small team of housekeepers within an assigned area of the community
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties alongside your team, leading by example
  • Ensure resident apartments, common areas, and facility spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met consistently
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to team members throughout the shift
  • Help organize daily assignments and adjust work as needed based on priorities
  • Address cleaning concerns, special requests, or urgent issues promptly
  • Support onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members
  • Maintain supply inventory and report needs or shortages
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, residents, and other departments
