About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness of rooms and public spaces. The Team Leader position will come into contact with guests and will need to have positive guest interactions. This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Attend departmental meetings.
  • Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Actively working, always looking for ways to assist guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service.
  • Reads or listens to Smart Start.
  • Reads and understands all memos that pertain to the housekeeping department.
  • Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
  • Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list.
  • Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting
  • Make beds when time allows
  • Inspect guest rooms to quality standards put into place
  • Critique employee performance and productivity
  • Handle guest requests
  • Work with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Cleaning of hotel rooms including: dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, and common areas if needed.
  • Complete quality cleaning to meet Marriott standards with set time limits.
  • Pickup and recycle ground litter around hotel
  • Communicate daily with supervisors, house person, and managers
  • Report all damage to Supervisor and Managers
  • Use all chemicals properly and safely as required by OSHA standards
  • Separate recycle items from trash and dispose of properly
  • Complete daily projects as assigned
  • Maintain assigned area including but not limited to guestrooms and stairwells
  • Maintain linen properly
  • Maintain guest rooms to standards set by management
  • Maintain hotel assets at all times
  • Work in a fast paced, busy occasionally noisy environment
  • Any and all other duties assigned by management
  • Maneuver and control housekeeping cart
  • Clean and re-stock all women and men’s bathrooms in all public spaces and maintained throughout the shift.
