About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met. They assign tasks, inspect work to ensure it's up to standard, and provide training on how to best handle customers' requests. This role involves overseeing housekeeping associates, ensuring proper supplies and equipment are available, and enforcing safety standards. The supervisor also performs housekeeping duties, verifies room status, and monitors the cleanliness of the hotel premises, including the parking lot and exterior entrances. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed is required, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Customer Service Skills required.
Prioritization and time management skills required.
Must have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
Inspects all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
Provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms including nametags and designated PPE.
Trains associates on safety standards and enforces those standards consistently.
Identifies associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retaining them appropriately.
Completes accident investigations and takes steps to prevent future accidents.
Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
Verifies and updates the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
Perform opening and closing shift duties.
Moves Heavy Furniture.
Notifies maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary.
Monitor cleanliness of hotels including parking lot and exterior entrances.
Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
