About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in delivering an Effortless Stay by ensuring daily housekeeping operations are executed with precision, consistency, and care. This position is responsible for supervising frontline associates, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, and supporting a calm, seamless guest experience through hands-on leadership and attention to detail. The Housekeeping Supervisor leads by example, reinforces standards in real time, and ensures that the work behind the scenes never feels visible to the guest.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hotel housekeeping experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or lead role preferred
  • Experience in luxury, boutique, or full-service hotel environments a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams through example.
  • Clear, respectful communication skills.
  • Guest-focused mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek clarity when standards are unclear.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations across assigned areas and shifts.
  • Assign work to Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and Laundry Attendants based on occupancy and operational priorities.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor to support associates and ensure standards are consistently met.
  • Assist with room cleaning, public area upkeep, and special projects as needed.
  • Ensure all rooms and public spaces are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation align with brand standards.
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure immediate corrective action.
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback to associates to reinforce expectations.
  • Ensure amenities, linens, and room setups are complete and thoughtfully presented.
  • Support preparation of VIP, repeat guest, and special-request rooms.
  • Respond to guest concerns related to housekeeping promptly, professionally, and with ownership.
  • Support turn-down and evening service execution.
  • Escalate guest issues appropriately while maintaining calm and professionalism.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new housekeeping associates.
  • Reinforce proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, respect, and pride in workmanship.
  • Encourage associates to ask questions and seek clarity to ensure consistency.
  • Monitor daily linen, amenity, and supply usage; report shortages or variances.
  • Support laundry operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and proper handling of linens.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and care of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Reinforce sustainability practices, including recycling and responsible chemical use.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Report incidents, maintenance issues, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Communicate clearly with associates across shifts to ensure smooth handovers.
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to support room readiness and maintenance needs.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and shift briefings.
  • Share observations, challenges, and improvement opportunities with management.
