About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department by supervising room attendants, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring a positive guest experience in accordance with IHG brand standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality qualification preferred).
1–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel, with supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
Assign work schedules and room assignments to room attendants.
Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with IHG standards.
Ensure all guest requests are handled promptly and professionally.
Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety, and customer service.
Monitor housekeeping supplies and linen inventory; report shortages as needed.
Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals and maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping and resolve issues efficiently.
Complete daily reports, inspections, and departmental documentation.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff.
