Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 3 + star hotel as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
Previous supervisory experience including scheduling, training, development, performance appraisals and administering disciplinary actions.
Superior people management skills, customer service, conflict resolution skills and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Committed to results through flexible scheduling, consistent follow-up and leadership by example.
Highly productive, energetic, attentive to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Oversees operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensures departmental productivity objectives and service quality standards.
Establishes and maintains cost-control system for linen and cleaning supplies inventories.
Oversees budgeting, ordering and receiving of supplies.
Inspects and manages the quality of housekeeping services within set timelines.
Schedules staff according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.
Complies and reports information on housekeeping activities and expenses.
Communicates with Guest Services on the status of guest rooms.
Provides training and career development for housekeeping staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and provides feedback for employees.
Provides input to the department’s annual budget, monitors and reports variances against plan, and keeps track of labour costs.
Complies with Hotel Policies and Procedures for security and emergency procedures.
