Housekeeping Supervisor
About The Position
A Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas, inspecting them to ensure standards are met, and notifying cleaning personnel of inadequacies. The supervisor also trains or re-trains staff on proper housekeeping procedures when needed. In the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, this position is responsible for the housekeeping department supervision. The role may also involve cleaning rooms and public areas as assigned and working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
- An engaging personality.
Nice To Haves
- One year previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
