About The Position

St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Laconia, NH, is a 51-bed skilled nursing facility offering short and long-term care in a warm, supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. We are looking for an full time experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to be responsible for the Housekeeping department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a housekeeping setting (long-term care facility preferred)
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies
• Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; provide leadership
• Ability to participate in and assist with emergency evacuation

Responsibilities

• Hire and train housekeeping staff. Ensure job duties are clearly defined and completed on a daily basis.
• Schedules and assigns housekeepers daily work assignments and oversees completion of tasks.
• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal regulations and CCNH policies.
• Ensures staff adheres to procedures for storage and disposal of waste, recycling and emergency spill procedures and transports waste to designated areas.
• Ensure staff is scheduled appropriately to maintain cleanliness of the facility.
• Regularly take inventory of cleaning supplies and order stock as needed.
• Investigate and address complaints regarding housekeeping services
• Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times.
• Ensures staff follows established infection control and safety procedures and precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Inform management of any equipment or furniture in need of repair of replacement.
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Utilize personal protective equipment as appropriate.
