About The Position

This is a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor position located in Altoona, IA. The shift is from 10pm to 6:30am, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. Wages are based on experience, and employees have the option for daily, weekly, or bi-weekly pay.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in the housekeeping field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and must meet company insurance requirements.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Attention to details.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds.
• Works on wet floors.
• Subject to injury in the use of power equipment.
• Exposed to chemicals.
• May require working from ladders.
• Exposed to all types of waste.
• Standing and walking for eight-hour shifts.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Works with cleaning crew and ensures that projects started and completed on time and assigns employees to designated work rotation area.
• Works with trainers and housekeeping employees on the use of equipment, chemicals and cleaning rotation.
• Supervises and coaches employees in their duties and conducts performance evaluations in a timely manner.
• Oversees public relations issues (such as inquiries and solving problems) with internal and external customers.
• Responsible for recording attendance, reviewing time sheets and completing absence from duty paperwork.
