Under the general direction of the Housekeeping Manager, this role supervises, trains, and develops the housekeeping team with the goal of cleaning and maintaining the entire casino, emphasizing customer satisfaction and teamwork. The position involves scheduling and distributing work, providing instructions, inspecting completed jobs, and ensuring daily cleaning schedules are followed. It also includes setting performance standards, assessing cleaning effectiveness, partnering with management on department goals, evaluating staff, and initiating corrective actions. The role is responsible for creating and administering employee performance evaluations, adjusting schedules to meet business needs, and providing training on equipment and cleaning systems. Regular meetings with management and staff are expected to report progress, discuss pending jobs, scheduling, and attendance. The supervisor will also collect and review time sheets, maintain records, distribute and audit work orders, and provide feedback to customers, co-workers, and supervision. Key aspects include demonstrating knowledge of all housekeeping responsibilities, ensuring safe and timely cleaning tasks, leading by example, effective verbal and written communication, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory. The duties are not exhaustive and may be assigned or performed temporarily outside the normal scope of work.
