About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring all units are prepared for guests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role involves managing staff, conducting inspections, handling guest requests, and contributing to a positive and remarkable guest experience in line with Bluejack's cultural beliefs.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience strongly preferred.
  • Currently overseeing a team of 10-15 housekeepers, with plans for team expansion soon.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-quality environment for residents and guests.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
  • Ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.

Responsibilities

  • Checking on housekeepers at the beginning of the day to address any questions or needs.
  • Preparing all units marked as "arrivals" to be "arrival ready" for guests.
  • Immediately reporting any life safety issues.
  • Creating the daily schedule with assignments for the housekeepers.
  • Handling all housekeeping-related charges on a daily basis.
  • Conducting weekly inspections and walk-throughs of all rental units, noting issues that cause cognitive dissonance.
  • Creating work orders for engineering items needing attention and addressing deep cleaning needs.
  • Ensuring items noted from the previous week are addressed, with escalation for items noted a third time.
  • Performing periodic, regular quality checks of public areas.
  • Assisting with member requests.
  • Assisting with daily projects.
  • Assisting with monthly linen inventory.
  • Communicating with and managing the housekeepers.
  • Holding housekeepers accountable through coaching and counseling.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
