About The Position

The Supervisor performs inspections to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and to provide a memorable guest experience through the anticipation of guest’s needs and providing exceptional service. This role involves supervising all Housekeeping employees, training, motivating, and developing line staff. The Supervisor assigns duties, monitors work quality, and ensures staff adherence to policies, procedures, and safety regulations. They provide day-to-day guidance, oversee subordinates, and actively promote and recognize performance. The Supervisor stays informed about team activities, identifies problem areas, and reports them to the Executive Housekeeper for corrective action. They must also meet legal age requirements for the position.

Requirements

  • Must have open availability, work weekends and holidays.
  • Six months related experience.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatile, flexible and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Speak and understand basic terms, directions, and concepts in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
  • Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness in all public restrooms, lounges, guest rooms, and other assigned areas.
  • Constantly patrol all public areas and assigned service areas to ensure the utmost cleanliness.
  • Make decisions when the Executive Housekeeper is not available based on current Standards and SOPs.
  • Assist in other areas and/or scheduled by the Housekeeping Management.
  • Report any deficiencies in guest and employee areas to the Housekeeping Management or Engineering.
  • Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
  • Supervise all Housekeeping employees.
  • Train, supervise, motivate, and develop line staff employees.
  • Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff conforms to organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively work to promote and recognize performance.
  • Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and bringing them to the Executive Housekeeper for corrective action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
