About The Position
Pan Pacific Whistler is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to support and lead our housekeeping team while ensuring every guest enjoys a clean and welcoming stay. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet hotel cleanliness, quality, and safety standards. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager by supervising staff, conducting inspections, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient department operations while delivering excellent guest service.
Requirements
- Experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to train and coach staff effectively.
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate with other departments.
- Problem-solving skills to handle guest requests and issues.
- Ability to manage schedules and staffing during peak times.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a mountain resort.
- Familiarity with hotel operations software.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants and Housepersons.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Assign daily tasks and room sections to housekeeping staff.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to maintain performance standards.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues, safety hazards, and guest concerns.
- Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to prioritize rooms and special requests.
- Monitor productivity, attendance, and adherence to hotel policies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping in a professional manner.
- Assist with scheduling and coverage during high occupancy or staff shortages.
