About The Position

This is a Part Time (20-29 hours/week) position for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The role involves supervising Guest House Attendants and Leads, including assigning work, monitoring progress, ensuring quality and safety standards, coaching, counseling, mentoring, approving leave, providing input on performance reviews, training employees, and recommending awards or discipline. The supervisor will also interview and select new employees.

Requirements

Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
Required is prior work experience that provided the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade, to keep the assigned work area neat and clean, and to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must possess good customer service skills
Must possess leadership ability and be able to clearly communicate general and specific instructions.
Must have the ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects.
Must be able to recognize hazardous materials and wastes regarding chemical cleaning compounds and solutions.

Nice To Haves

Responsible work experience in the hospitality industry that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties stated above with minimal supervision.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Supervises the Guest House Attendants and Leads to include assigning and distributing work, observing work progress, production, adherence to quality and safety standards, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending personnel actions, providing input on performance reviews and approving time & attendance, training employees, and recommending awards and discipline as necessary.
Interviews applicants and makes selections of new employees.
Works with oral and written instructions.
Responsible for exercising continual care with tools and equipment used.
May complete routine duties involving distinct tasks or steps independently.
Other duties as assigned.
