JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Environmental Services provided in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Work hours are typically 7:30am - 4:00pm, five shifts per week.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment with aptitude for attention to detail is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. The incumbent is standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching while working.
  • Must be available during inclement weather to maintain roads and grounds to provide for uninterrupted and safe operations of the facility

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital and/or hotel environmental services experience is preferred.
  • One year Supervisory experience is strongly preferred . Previous hospital and/or hotel environmental services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assures that the duties and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated to department personnel.
  • Oversees department inventory of supplies and equipment. Places janitorial supply purchase orders and equipment orders.
  • Maintains department infection control procedures to prevent acquisition of nosocomial infections.
  • Develops and implements effective cleaning routines facility-wide. Supervises planned scheduled cleaning projects.
  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and posting of department staff work schedule to ensure proper staff coverage for all shifts. Daily monitoring of FTE variance and minimizing overtime.
