About The Position

This is a supervisory position that works closely with the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department and is responsible for leading workers in cleaning and maintaining floor surfaces. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed through inspections and conferences within Environmental Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines/regulation governing Murdoch Development Center.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of Floor Maintenance in the Environmental Services Department. This position is responsible for a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of floors throughout Murdoch Developmental Center. Duties include Housekeeping, Mattress Inspection, Fixed Asset/Physical Inventory and Training as need as directed by Environmental Services Director, Supervisor III. May include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in the area assigned, including one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
