About The Position

Carowinds Camp Wilderness is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to supervise, direct, counsel, and discipline associates in the work location, completing required documentation. This role is responsible for completing guest-room task assignments daily, responding to guest requests and inquiries, reporting maintenance issues, collecting and labeling lost and found items, and responding to the requests of team leaders. The position involves cleaning and maintaining all areas of a guest-room, including making beds, cleaning bathroom fixtures, removing dirty linen, replacing used guest amenities, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, and mopping floors. Additionally, the supervisor ensures that all assigned areas, which may include hallways, pool area, video room, banquet spaces, stairways, public bathrooms, public areas, lobby area, elevators, elevator landings, linen closets, hallways, vending machines, and outdoor walkways, are cleaned daily in accordance with Carowinds standards. The role also requires working with chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and using cleaning equipment safely, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, counsel, and discipline associates in the work location.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Complete guest-room task assignments daily.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Report maintenance issues.
  • Collect and label lost and found items.
  • Respond to the requests of team leaders.
  • Clean and maintain all areas of a guest-room including making beds, cleaning bathroom fixtures, removing dirty linen, replacing all used guest amenities, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, mopping floors.
  • Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned daily in accordance to Carowinds standards.
  • Work with chemicals in accordance with all safety guidelines listed on the safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Uses cleaning equipment in accordance with the departmental safety guidelines.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
