About The Position

This position is responsible for responding promptly to guest requests and those from other departments. The attendant will prepare and transport their assigned cart with supplies, enter guest rooms following proper procedures, and ensure the room is vacant before entry. Key duties include replacing guest amenities and supplies, exchanging dirty linens and terry with clean items, making beds, folding terry, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash, dirty linen, and room service items. The attendant will also verify the presence and working order of all appliances, straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances, and perform dusting, polishing, and mark removal from walls and furnishings. Floor care duties, including vacuuming carpets and general floor maintenance in guest rooms and hallways, are also part of the role. The position requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies, reporting of maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completion of safety training. Proper storage of flammable materials is necessary. The role demands maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards, including assisting individuals with disabilities and thanking guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and meeting quality standards. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance. Pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and other equipment over uneven surfaces, reaching overhead and below the knees (including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping), and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for an extended period are also expected. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are needed for manipulating objects of varying size and weight. The attendant will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Responsibilities
