Requirements

  • Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey information and ideas
  • Ability to read and understand directions on cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to use chemicals and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to established brand and property standards, including making beds, changing linens, and replacing towels
  • Dust, sanitize, and wipe down all surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and hard floors
  • Vacuum carpets and clean bathrooms thoroughly, including tubs, showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors
  • Restock guest room amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, glassware, and printed materials
  • Empty trash and recycling and replace liners as needed
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage found in guest rooms to the appropriate department
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness and completeness before marking them ready for guest occupancy
  • Maintain and organize housekeeping carts, supply closets, and equipment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Communicate room status updates accurately to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Front Desk
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and turnover cleans as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times
  • Follow all company policies regarding uniform, grooming, and punctuality
