About The Position

This position is responsible for responding promptly to guest requests and those from other departments. The attendant will prepare their cart with supplies and transport it to their assigned area. They will enter guest rooms following proper procedures, ensuring the room is vacant before entering. Key duties include replacing guest amenities and supplies, changing linens and terry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash and room service items, checking appliance functionality, organizing room items, dusting and polishing surfaces, and performing vacuuming and floor care. The role also requires adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting any maintenance issues or hazards, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service are essential. This includes welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication with colleagues and supporting team goals are also important. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds independently and over 25 pounds with assistance, push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over various surfaces, and perform actions like reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Extended periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking are expected, along with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for manipulating objects.

Requirements

  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
