Lorien Mount Airy is seeking a dedicated Porter / Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. As a Floor Technician, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, patients, visitors, and staff. Your work helps ensure our community remains comfortable, attractive, and well-maintained every day. Requirements

Full Time & Part-Time availability
Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Clean, maintain, and restore various floor surfaces throughout the facility.
Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, burnishers, and vacuums.
Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors to maintain a professional appearance.
Clean carpets and perform routine floor maintenance as scheduled.
Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility.
Assist with housekeeping duties and special cleaning projects as needed.
Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report any repair needs to management.
Ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and presentable for residents and visitors.
