About The Position
Manages the operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and follow housekeeping standards
- Attention to detail
- Previous customer service experience
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and handling equipment.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain public areas: Lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, pool areas, patios, and outdoor entry spaces
- Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
- Deep cleaning tasks: Vacuum carpets, strip and wax floors, scrub walls, polish metalwork, and spot-clean high-touch areas
- Guest room support: Assist room attendants with heavy tasks (bed stripping, mattress rotation, moving oversized items), deliver clean linens, and remove soiled linens and trash from guest rooms
- Trash and debris removal: Collect trash, newspapers, and soiled linen from assigned floors at shift start and end
- Safety and security: Check locks on storage and linen rooms, secure back-of-house areas, and report maintenance, security, or safety issues
