About The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department related to the cleanliness, presentation, and overall upkeep of IMG Academy’s dormitories, academic buildings, common spaces, and other campus facilities. IMG Academy is a boarding school and sports training destination located on a 400-acre campus. This role supports a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for student-athletes, team members, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Required fluency in both English and Spanish in speaking, writing, and reading
  • 5-7 years of housekeeping, laundry, and facilities managerial experience; school, hospitality, or residential setting preferred
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Knowledge of cleaning best practices, sanitation standards, and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills ability
  • Experience with MS Office and other computer systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes up to 40lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces, including grass, turf, courts, etc., in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Must be able to climb stairs continuously.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers
  • Requires a background check upon offer
  • Requires a pre-employment drug screen upon offer

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee scheduled cleaning assignments for dormitories, classrooms, offices, bathrooms, athletic facilities, and other campus facilities
  • Regularly inspect scheduled spaces to verify cleaning standards have been met
  • Maintain clear communication with internal campus departments to streamline operations and continually enhance the campus experience
  • Partner with department leaders to collaborate, investigate, and resolve concerns related to cleaning services
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate team member performance in order to meet operational needs
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members, including temporary or summer staff
  • Oversee the payroll review process and adhere to IMG Academy policies on payroll coding and deadlines
  • Translate company communications, policies, procedures, and training materials as appropriate to ensure staff understanding and alignment
  • Translate and facilitate clear communication during meetings, coaching sessions, and one-on-one discussions
  • Assist in managing supply orders, storage of inventory, and distribution of cleaning supplies, equipment, linens, and departmental needs
  • Assist with communication with internal and external vendors related to equipment and service repairs
  • Partner with the department leadership to establish and maintain the budget
  • Collaborate and conduct regular training on cleaning standards, safety practices, and infection control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies
  • Assist with special cleaning projects, renovations, and program support during school breaks
  • Other duties as assigned by management
