About The Position

The Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center is seeking a motivated and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead their housekeeping department. This full-time, year-round role involves overseeing daily operations of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and team development. The manager will coach and support the team, inspect rooms, manage schedules and supplies, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a clean and comfortable guest experience. This position is ideal for a positive leader who enjoys developing others, solving problems, and leading by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Requirements

Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
Prior housekeeping supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using computers and completing reports, schedules, and inventory tracking.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of housekeeping, including walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Flexible schedule with availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet company cleanliness and quality standards.
Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and motivate housekeeping team members while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Perform daily room inspections, ensuring rooms are guest-ready and meet brand and company expectations before arrival.
Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed during busy periods or staffing shortages.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations.
Coordinate with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and Laundry departments to ensure efficient daily operations.
Manage housekeeping inventories, order supplies, and monitor departmental expenses.
Ensure housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and arrange repairs when necessary.
Maintain accurate housekeeping records, productivity reports, inspection logs, lost and found records, and departmental documentation.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
Foster a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional guest service.
