About The Position

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Laundry, Housekeeping & Janitorial Aide to join our environmental services team. This position helps maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift supplies throughout the shift.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Nice To Haves

Previous laundry, housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas.
Empty trash containers and replace liners.
Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, handrails, and frequently touched surfaces.
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility linens.
Properly label, handle, and return resident clothing and personal laundry.
Make beds and replace linens as assigned.
Maintain laundry rooms, housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow infection control, sanitation, chemical safety, and facility procedures.
Use caution signs and appropriate safety measures when cleaning.
Monitor supplies and notify the supervisor when items need to be reordered.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with additional housekeeping, laundry, or janitorial duties as assigned.
