About The Position

The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community. This role involves overseeing the cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on the common areas and apartment bathrooms. The attendant will also operate laundry equipment as needed and ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored and used according to approved products. Additionally, the role includes cleaning office areas, dusting blinds and furniture, vacuuming, maintaining cleanliness of bathrooms, and cleaning apartments at resident move-out. The position requires attending in-services and staff meetings, maintaining resident privacy, and completing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
Ability to work well with others as part of a team
Polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
Must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Cleaning common living areas and resident apartments
Overseeing cleaning of the entire facility, with emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms
Completing maintenance request reports
Reporting deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings
Operating laundry equipment
Reporting inadequate quantities of supplies
Using only approved cleaning products and ensuring proper storage
Cleaning office areas when assigned
Dusting and cleaning all window blinds
Dusting all furniture and bookshelves in resident apartments and common areas
Vacuuming common areas and resident apartments
Keeping common area and resident bathrooms clean
Cleaning apartments at resident move-out
Attending required in-services and staff meetings
Maintaining resident privacy/confidentiality
Other duties as assigned
