About The Position

The Housekeeper Performs a variety of janitorial cleaning and maintenance of agency buildings and facilities. English speaking required.

Requirements

• Experience in janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to visually read instructions and verbally hear and communicate with others in English.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 1-year previous related experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning in assigned areas with daily, weekly and monthly assigned tasks to include sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing and polishing floors; shampooing carpets; dusting and/or washing windows, windowsills, window tracks and cleaning screens; cleaning woodwork and walls, cleaning inside cupboards and food storage areas, disposal of trash and replenishing sanitary supplies.
• Checking and cleaning filters and lint traps on appliances, in sinks and in floor drains, stove filters in hoods and coils under and behind refrigerators.
• Moving furniture and rearranging it neatly as needed in his/her job performance.
• Turning out lights, locking doors as it relates to agency security.
• Maintaining inventory and MSDS sheets on stationery supplies.
