About The Position

The Inspector ensures standards are met by auditing guest rooms, public areas, and amenities for cleanliness and safety. OVERVIEW: The Inspector verifies that rooms are properly prepared for arrivals, reports maintenance issues, monitors staff performance, and ensures compliance with brand standards to maintain a positive guest experience. JOB SUMMARY: Inspect guest rooms following highest quality standards Verifies that rooms and residences are staged and prepared for guest arrival Reports maintenance needs accordingly Monitors and helps with the creation of daily housekeeping boards/assignments Assists with performing inventory of linen and supplies Ensures employees are using/handling cleaning chemicals safely On occasion and during off season will be required to clean rooms ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hours Ability to move up and down stairs Ability to move quickly based on guest needs Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places. Ability to observe conditions and detect odors Ability to notice and inspect small details Ability to position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English Ability to complete a satisfactory background check Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel. Requirements

  • 1+ years of hotel housekeeping or inspection experience
  • Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion.
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality
  • Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to move up and down stairs
  • Ability to move quickly based on guest needs
