About The Position

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet Hilton brand standards and cleanliness expectations prior to being released for guest arrival. This role plays a critical part in quality control, room readiness, and supporting housekeeping operations. The Inspector works closely with housekeeping staff to provide feedback, training, and direction while maintaining a strong focus on consistency, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Inspector role is ideal for someone who has a strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards, takes ownership of room quality and ensures consistency across all inspected areas, enjoys training, coaching, and supporting team members to improve performance, is organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities, and leads by example and maintains a professional presence on the floor.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Previous housekeeping experience required; inspection or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the property as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and cleanliness expectations
  • Ensure all inspected rooms meet “Ready for Arrival” standards prior to release in the PMS
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken prior to room availability
  • Provide real-time feedback, coaching, and training to housekeeping staff to improve quality and efficiency
  • Support daily room assignments and workflow to ensure operational efficiency and timely room readiness
  • Maintain accurate communication with the front desk regarding room status and priority rooms
  • Assist in managing inventory of linens, supplies, and housekeeping materials
  • Support Lost and Found procedures, ensuring items are properly logged and secured
  • Respond to guest requests and housekeeping-related service issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and equipment operation
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards across all housekeeping operations
  • Maintain clear communication through shift logs and daily reporting
  • Assist with cleaning rooms or public areas as needed to support operational demands
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or General Manager
