The Housekeeping Inspector assists the Housekeeping Manager in daily housekeeping operations and floor management, including staff, equipment, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives. This role involves maintaining GSI Hospitality Standards and adhering to the GSI Sparkling Clean Program, supervising staff in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, and ensuring complete guest satisfaction. The inspector handles guest complaints, monitors and supervises the setup and maintenance of assigned areas, and assists in requisitioning supplies and managing linen use. They also play a role in recruiting, training, scheduling, and disciplining room attendants, as well as assisting with payroll and controlling labor costs. The position requires flexibility to assist room attendants during peak times or understaffing and to step into other operational roles as needed. Maintaining a safe facility environment, including standards for maintenance, sanitation, and employee hygiene, is crucial. The inspector must notify the Unit Manager of any unusual events or safety issues and perform unit opening and closing procedures.
