About The Position

The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for maintaining an acceptable level of cleanliness and quality control in guest units and public common areas at the resort, while providing outstanding customer service. This role requires commitment and dedication to the Spirit of Service culture, demonstrated towards guests and team members at all times. The resort is a 536-room, Caribbean-inspired property located near the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, offering spacious suites with fully equipped kitchens and oceanfront pools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexible Schedule, ability to work weekends & holidays
• Previous Housekeeping experience in timeshare and/or hotels
• Customer service or similar related experience
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing work volumes and staffing
• Ability to work under pressing deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Physically able to work from ladders, move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and tolerate exposure to general cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as humidity, cold/heat, dust and noise.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all assigned units to ensure they meet the resort's quality standards.
• Inspect all assigned public common areas.
• Clean units and public common areas as assigned.
• Report quality issues to management and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Perform written inspections on units as designated by management.
• Replace any missing inventory items in units.
• Report maintenance problems to management and suspicious activities to security.
• Ensure all department assets and supplies are secure in storage.
• Assist management in maintaining an accurate inventory of linen and supplies.
• Work closely with employees to set examples and ensure efficient productivity.
• Carry out reasonable requests from management that the employee is capable of performing.
