About The Position

The Housekeeping Inspector will supervise Room Attendants and inspect hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies. This role involves assigning work to Room Attendants, training associates in housekeeping duties, and potentially performing cleaning duties. The position also includes posting room occupancy records, addressing guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment, and writing requisitions for room supplies and furniture renovation or replacements. Responsibilities also include examining carpets, drapes, and furniture for damage, checking and counting linens and supplies, and aiding in budget control through supervision of employee use of resources. The role requires recording inspection results, notifying cleaning personnel of inadequacies, and communicating with other hotel departments regarding issues requiring their attention. Ensuring key control policies and taking the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner are also key aspects of the role. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of housekeeping experience required
  • Familiarity with regulations of the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
  • Understand simple instructions
  • Learn simple procedures and techniques
  • Perform routine work or same task repeatedly
  • Plan the work of others
  • Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment

  • Ensure key control policies
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
