About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseperson - Overnight - Full Time is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas within the hotel. This includes stocking supply closets, removing trash and linens, cleaning corridors and stairwells, and fulfilling guest requests. The role also involves cleaning guestroom floors, public areas, and associate areas, as well as operating and maintaining cleaning equipment. A key aspect of the role is responding to guest requests promptly and reporting any maintenance issues.

Requirements

Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to work overnight shifts.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

Ensures that assigned Room Attendants’ and Housepersons’ supply closets are stocked at par.
Picks up dirty linen and trash throughout the day.
Keeps the chute rooms clean.
Removes trays from the guest floors.
Keeps corridors and stairwells clean on guestroom floors clean.
Keeps areas by the vending rooms clean.
Moves furniture upon request.
Completes guest requests.
Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining at least 2 guestroom floors daily.
Satisfies guest requests within 15 minutes.
Reports all maintenance deficiencies using Service call/Work Order Tickets.
Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and machinery.
Cleans and maintains public areas as assigned.
Cleans and maintains associate areas as assigned.
Completes any and all tasks as assigned by management.
