About The Position

The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is looking for a Part-Time Housekeeping Houseperson to join this awesome team! Previous hotel housekeeping experience and Marriott Hotels experience strongly preferred. The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, hallways, linen closets, and back-of-house areas throughout the hotel. This role helps ensure guests receive exceptional service and a clean, comfortable environment in alignment with Marriott brand standards.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping closets and designated areas
• Remove trash, dirty linens, and used items from guest room corridors and housekeeping areas
• Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, and employee areas
• Assist Room Attendants with stripping rooms, making beds, or moving furniture as needed
• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping calls
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and housekeeping carts
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures
• Replenish guest and housekeeping supplies throughout the shift
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carpet cleaners safely and properly
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures
• Support team members and other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations
