About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of hallways, guest rooms, ice storage rooms, and Housekeeping storage areas. This role performs various tasks to ensure guestrooms, working areas, and hotel premises are kept clean and orderly. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Perform any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax and polish floors.
Vacuum / Sweep guest hallways daily.
Cleans balcony windows in C/O rooms daily.
Cleans rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
Empties dirty linens from GRA carts, separating terry and linen.
Receives linen supplies.
Receive Housekeeping supplies.
Distributes linen to closets.
Cleans and organizes linen and supplies to storage closets daily.
Washes wall and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture, and turns mattresses.
Cleans elevator landings on guest floors, ice machine areas, fore exits
Is responsible for high dusting, heavy vacuuming and general cleaning of HSKPG closets and guest hallways.
Responsible for the care and upkeep of all equipment used to perform duties.
Distributes monthly magazines to storage closets placement in rooms.
Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Close vision and distance vision.

Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and vibration.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, guest rooms, ice storage rooms, and Housekeeping storage areas.
Perform tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner.
Provide assistance to Room Attendants by stripping vacant rooms.
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, and shampoo machine.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax, and polish floors.
Vacuum or sweep guest hallways daily.
Clean balcony windows in check-out rooms daily.
Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
Empty dirty linens from GRA carts, separating terry and linen.
Receive linen and Housekeeping supplies.
Distribute linen to closets.
Clean and organize linen and supplies in storage closets daily.
Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses.
Clean elevator landings on guest floors, ice machine areas, and fire exits.
Take items to guests when requested.
Perform high dusting, heavy vacuuming, and general cleaning of Housekeeping closets and guest hallways.
Ensure the care and upkeep of all equipment used to perform duties.
Distribute monthly magazines to storage closets and placement in rooms.
