About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital environment, including patient rooms, common areas, kitchens, and restrooms. The position requires adherence to established cleaning schedules and the use of approved cleaning agents. Key duties include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, changing linens, stocking supplies, and general upkeep of the facility's exterior areas. The role also involves supporting the organization's mission, vision, and core values, as well as embodying exceptional customer service principles.

Requirements

Ability to read and write.
Physical ability to perform a job that requires bending, stretching, and lifting moderate to heavy loads.
Ability to utilize safe and proper body mechanics in performing job duties.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, mop and dust all areas per established schedule using approved cleaners.
Clean kitchen and all restrooms per established schedule using approved cleaners.
Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners.
Change bed linens as needed, both with patient in bed and with patient out of bed, as required by patient’s ability to ambulate.
Keep patient care areas clean and free of trash as necessary throughout day.
Stock supplies in kitchen and all restrooms.
Water plants.
Clean front doors and windows.
Empty and clean trash cans daily.
Use carpet broom daily.
Pick up litter from parking lot and sweep front entrance daily.
Rake leaves around building as needed.
Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health and its holdings.
Uphold and embody Beacon Behavioral Health’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service.
Other duties and special projects as requested.
