To perform daily assigned tasks, which include preventative, maintaining, corrective, and restoration of all hard surface floors and carpeted areas, according to prescribed methods. May be asked to perform Housekeeper I or II functions on an as-needed basis. This role involves routine floor care such as vacuuming, dust mopping, auto scrubbing, high-speed burnishing, wet mopping, and spot cleaning. Corrective floor care includes shower scrubbing, carpet extraction, and stripping/finishing of hard surface floors. The position requires coordinating work flow to minimize disruption to patient care, maintaining a good working knowledge of chemicals, and maintaining assigned equipment. The employee performs within Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program and must report any compliance variances. The role involves teamwork and tact in interactions with others, and potential errors could lead to serious losses such as improper costs, waste, equipment damage, or delays. Some confidential data may be handled. The duties are semi-routine with some variety and difficulty, performed under general supervision with some planning required. The role involves medium physical effort, including lifting and handling materials, and working in reaching or strained positions. The working conditions involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and potential temperature extremes or occupational risks, with a limited probability of exposure to bloodborne pathogens or bio-hazardous materials.
