About The Position

The Housekeeping Floor Care Specialist is a person who can perform all the tasks of a Custodial Worker and in addition has the skills and ability to perform floor care work such as floor maintenance, hard surface floor refinishing and carpet and upholstery cleaning. This role involves daily corridor maintenance, including dust mopping, spot mopping, and auto scrubbing corridors and lobby areas. The specialist will also be responsible for operating housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently, cleaning equipment after use, reporting equipment in need of repair, and reporting safety hazards. The position requires the ability to perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Requirements

1 or more years of housekeeping experience.
Ability to operate handheld communication devices for communication with dispatch.
Ability to perform operations with units such as cup, pint, quart and ounce, inch, foot and yard.

High School Graduate or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform all tasks of a Custodial Worker.
Perform floor maintenance, hard surface floor refinishing, and carpet and upholstery cleaning.
Strip and refinish all types of hard surface floors.
Scrub and refinish all types of hard surface floors.
Spot clean and extract all types of carpeted surfaces and upholstery.
Operate housekeeping equipment such as walk behind and riding auto scrubbers safely and efficiently.
Perform daily corridor maintenance, including dust mopping, spot mopping, and auto scrubbing corridors and lobby areas.
Use walk behind sweepers and burnishers as needed.
Clean equipment before returning it to storage.
Report equipment in need of repair to supervisor.
Report safety hazards.
Perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
