About The Position

The Housekeeping Floor Care Specialist is a person who can perform all the tasks of a Custodial Worker and in addition has the skills and ability to perform floor care work such as floor maintenance, hard surface floor refinishing and carpet and upholstery cleaning. Trained and can perform all the tasks of the Custodial Worker Job Description. Trained to strip and refinish all types of hard surface floors. Trained to scrub and refinish all types of hard surface floors. Trained to spot clean and extract all types of carpeted surfaces and upholstery. Trained to operate housekeeping equipment such as walk behind and riding auto scrubbers safety and efficiently in accordance with established procedures. Will be responsible for daily corridor maintenance, consisting of dust mopping, spot mopping and auto scrubbing corridors and lobby areas. In addition, walk behind sweepers and burnishers may be used as well. Cleans equipment before returning it to storage area. Reports equipment in need of repair to supervisor. Report safety hazards. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Requirements

  • 1 or more years of housekeeping experience.
  • Ability to operate handheld communication devices for communication with dispatch.
  • Ability to perform operations with units such as cup, pint, quart and ounce, inch, foot and yard.

  • High School Graduate or GED.
