About The Position

The Environmental Services (EVS) Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the Ranch. This role is crucial in promoting health and safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors. The EVS Housekeeper performs a variety of cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols and standards.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other facility spaces, following infection control protocols.
• Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous and non-hazardous waste according to safety regulations.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, ensuring all areas are clean and free from hazards.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Identify and report maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff, addressing concerns as appropriate.
