Housekeeping/EVS Tech - Days - La Jolla
About The Position
This is a full-time position at the Scripps Memorial campus in La Jolla, working a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on a varied schedule that includes weekends. The housekeeping team supports environmental care through cleaning patient-care and non-patient-care areas, linen service, waste and sharps-container removal, meeting and event setup and breakdown, and infection control and sanitation. Team members use technical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. They follow established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and work in a manner that reflects the organization’s mission, philosophy, and goals.
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality.
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient-care areas and non-patient-care areas.
- Provide linen service.
- Remove waste and sharps containers.
- Set up and break down meetings and events.
- Perform infection control and sanitation tasks.
- Follow established policies and practices to support compliance with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work under the guidance and support of a supervisor and reflect the organization’s mission, philosophy, and goals.
