About The Position

Cobble Hill LifeCare is seeking an experienced Housekeeping / Environmental Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This position plays a vital role in supporting resident health and well-being by ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of housekeeping or environmental services experience required, preferably in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of infection prevention practices and proper cleaning procedures.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and excellent teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas according to facility standards.
Empty trash and replace liners throughout the building.
Replenish paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and other housekeeping supplies.
Follow all infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
Safely operate housekeeping equipment and properly store cleaning chemicals.
Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and safety hazards to the appropriate department.
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests while providing courteous service to residents, families, and staff.
Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with facility policies.
