About The Position

Responsible for coordinating housekeeping operations while maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and public areas. This dual-role position serves as a communication link between guests, housekeeping staff, and other departments while ensuring rooms are cleaned and prepared according to company standards to provide an exceptional guest experience.

  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch housekeeping requests, work orders, and guest service requests.
  • Coordinate room assignments and communicate task updates to housekeeping staff.
  • Monitor and update room status in the property management system (clean, dirty, inspected, vacant, occupied, and out-of-order).
  • Answer housekeeping phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Communicate with Front Desk, Engineering, Security, and other departments regarding room readiness and guest requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, lost and found items, and service requests.
  • Track completion of assigned tasks and follow up to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with preparing daily housekeeping reports and administrative tasks.
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
