About The Position

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper Crew Leader will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, and execution of the cleaning and clean-up activities at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and all other of its venues and any assigned spaces. Along with other custodial full-time and part-time staff and contractors, this person will work and oversee other housekeeping crew workers to complete assigned tasks. This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$25.00.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience overseeing full-time and/or part-time staff.
  • Must have working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility.
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals.
  • Basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor-stripping procedures and working knowledge of cleaning timelines.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours, often including frequent nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • This position requires lifting heavy objects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations and coordinate assignments for the Housekeeping Team.
  • Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions.
  • Perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team.
  • Assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department.
  • Assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping task such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping, etc.
  • Report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations that cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
