About The Position

Perform a combination of cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness in guest corridors, stairwells and common areas according to established procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No initial experience required.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals also preferred.
• Good communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean all corridors, vending areas, guest service elevators, stairwells and landings according to preset standards and procedures.
• Clean windows and light fixtures in common areas, replacing bulbs as required according to preset standards and procedures.
• Refresh housekeeping carts by providing clean linen and pull dirty linen and trash from carts according to preset standards and procedures.
• Operate glass washing machine.
• Deliver clean glasses to designated linen closets and/or room attendant carts.
• Clean all equipment according to preset standards and procedures after use and return to designated areas.
• Assist in on-going projects such as rotating mattresses, deep cleaning rooms and shampoo projects.
• Clean guest rooms as needed according to preset standards and procedures. Strip linens from beds as required.
• Enter, respond to and close maintenance system work orders as required.
• Report maintenance problems immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
