Requirements

Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Must be able to use and control various mechanical equipment.
Operating shampooing and sweeping equipment.
Performing duties with a sense of urgency.
Working as a team with other employees.
Transporting all supplies to and from work areas.
Operating the following equipment to include: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop and broom.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Team Members must be drug free.

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Cleaning VLT machines, in between machines, VLT bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counter tops, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
Vacuuming carpet, sweeps and mops tile floors, cleans any spills that occur.
Cleaning any bio hazardous materials when it occurs.
Removing trash from the trash container and places into the dumpsters.
Providing exceptional Customer Service to all guests.
Performing other reasonable related duties as assigned.
