About The Position
Would you love to interact with travelers from all around the world and help ensure they have a comfortable stay? Join HI USA at our San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf hostel! We are currently accepting applications for a Housekeeping Associate to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work the scheduled daytime hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six months of hostel or hotel housekeeping experience preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, dorms, and bathrooms to meet our high standards.
- Mop, vacuum, and sweep floors and hostel grounds.
- Perform laundry duties, including washing, sorting, folding, and restocking.
- Change and wash bed linens, bedspreads, blankets, and towels as needed.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, and showers and restock supplies.
- Wash and store kitchen dishes and utensils.
- Wash windows and window coverings as needed.
- Dust surfaces, furniture, and fixtures in rooms and common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Report broken or damaged items to management.
- Assist in maintaining housekeeping supply inventory.
- Assist with light maintenance and groundskeeping as needed.
- Provide general houseperson support as assigned.
